Title I, Improving Basic Programs provides supplemental instruction in reading, language arts and mathematics to students in the elementary buildings that meet project criteria for service. Funds support staff for services to families and children and purchase equipment and supplies.
Title II A, Supporting Effective Instruction provides monies to “increase student achievement by elevating teacher and principal quality through recruitment, hiring and retention strategies.”
Title III, English Acquisition, Language Development and Academic Achievement provides monies to “assist school districts in teaching English to limited English proficient children and helping these students meet the same challenging standards required of all students.”
Title IV, Student Support and Academic Enrichment is intended to increase the capacity of schools, and local communities to: 1) provide all students with access to a well-rounded education, 2) improve school conditions for student learning, and 3) improve the use of technology in order to improve the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students.
IDEA B Special Education provides funding for services, support staff, materials and equipment for school-age students with disabilities in order that they make progress toward rigorous college and career standards.
Title ESCE - Early Childhood Special Education provides services, support staff, materials and equipment for preschool students with disabilities.
All federally funded programs provide for participation of non-public schools.
