Virtual learning for Burton Elementary second graders recently came alive when Berkshire graduate Anna Carlson volunteered to share her experiences related to her degrees in Biology, Museum Studies and Anthrozoology along with her work experience from the Boston Museum of Science. Such an amazing portfolio of education and work opportunities allowed her to customize learning programs for our Ohio environments. Second graders chose to attend virtual interactive programs about Ohio birds, coyotes and Ohio reptiles. The programs were attended by 26-30 participants who were eager to share their enthusiasm for experiencing nature! Thank you second graders for your participation, and a special thank you to Miss Carlson for showing that Berkshire’s 5 C’s (communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and civic responsibility) are alive and well as you gave back to your community!
