8th Grade Volleyball
The 8th grade volleyball, who finished 3rd in their division, met up with Chagrin Falls, Perry, and Fairport on Saturday for a pod tournament. The 8th grade went 3-0 on the day, winning the pod and finishing their season with a record of 15-4.
7th Grade Volleyball
The 7th grade volleyball team also finished 3rd in their division during the regular season. On Saturday, they played against Chagrin Falls, Geneva, and Fairport. The team went 2-1 on the day, and lost the pod championship on tiebreaker criteria. The finished their season with a record of 12-10.
Junior High Soccer
The Badgers, who had the 7th best conference record in the CVC, were the #1 in the South Division Tournament of the CVC. The opened the tournament by defeating Edgewood 5-1 on Wednesday. They then matched up with #2 seed Wickliffe in the tournament championship on Friday. The game was as close as it could be, with both teams tied at 3 after regulation. Trent Hornak had two goals for the Badgers, while Owen Vannoy recorded the other.
Neither team scored in the overtime period, which took the teams to penalty kicks to decide who would go home as the champion. Wickliffe emerged victorious, after converting two of their penalty kicks compared to Berkshires one.
The junior high soccer team would take home runner up honors. The Badgers finished the season with a record of 5-7-2.
Junior High Cross Country
The junior high cross country championship was held on the campus of Orange HS. The girls team finished 7th overall. Sarah Wendl was the top Berkshire runner, finishing 10th overall with a time of 13:18.
The boys did not have enough runners to qualify as a team, but that didn't stop them from running in the race. Max Myers was the boys top runner. He finished with a time of 14:09, good for 49th place overall.
