Thursday evening, May 16th, The Berkshire Thespians honored five individuals for their commitment in, and passion for, the performing arts by inducting them into the International Thespian Society. New inductees were senior Melanie Rakoczy and freshmen Eli Ray, Kelsey Adams, Hope Zagar, and Sam Pleva.
The ceremony also honored the promotion of three existing members of the society to the level of Honor Thespian. To be an Honor Thespian reflects many years and shows worth of responsibility and promise in theatre. Senior Josiah Cheung became an Honor Thespian with one star, and seniors Katrina Ostrander and Skylar Nettles became Honor Thespians.
Additionally, sophomore Dani Zilka and senior Hannah Keough were granted four stars to reflect their accumulation of points in the society and Melanie Rakoczy was given two stars. Fittingly performed on the stage, the ceremony was a simple and respectful way to honor the hard work of Berkshire’s theatre students, a devotion and tradition will continue in the hands of the new inductees for many years to come.
