As part of a routine effort to expose the Sparkles Team of the Berkshire Local Schools with real world experiences, a handful of our low incidence need students visited Derthick’s Corn Maze. Students had the chance to deploy their navigation skills and directional senses as they were transported by barrel car into the maze and prompted to find their way out. They also participated in the hands-on experience of farm work, learning about each animal’s purpose and contribution to the establishment. Fun was interspersed into the field trip as well with a hayride journey throughout the farm’s entire grounds. The Berkshire Local Schools makes a priority of identifying real-world opportunities for each and every student in our District, and providing them with hands on experiences that can prepare them for their futures. Go Badgers.
