Ledgemont 6th Graders Learn About Online Safety Through Six Click Challenge Program

Ledgemont 6th graders participate in 6 Click Challenge Program

Sixth graders at Ledgemont Elementary learned how to more safely and responsibly navigate social media and online content by participating in the Six Click Challenge, a component of the Digital World Challenge educational program.  Staff from the Geauga County Educational Service Center facilitated the learning activity which began with a review of a previously completed student survey regarding online usage and level of personal information shared on websites and social media apps.  Students then watched an engaging video which demonstrated the importance of online safety through examples of how personal information can be easily accessed through six or less clicks while searching the Internet.  Classrooms then engaged in an interactive discussion on various scenarios they may encounter while online and how to address them in a safe and positive manner.  The Berkshire Local Schools would like to thank the Geauga County Educational Service Center for discussing the importance of online safety with our students.
