Berkshire Student Takes First Place at Plant and Turf Management Competition

The Berkshire Local Schools extends its congratulations to PeterBrent for serving as a member on the First Place finishing Plant, Turf and Landscape Management team at Auburn Career Center in its recent competition. Helping to advance the type of learning that produces meaningful hands-on experiences, Peter Brent participated with a team of individuals comprised of other high school students from the nearby area. The stated purpose of the Plant, Turf and Landscape Management program at the Auburn Career Center is to cultivate students who can flexibly blend art and science in the development of creative landscape designs at real job sites. The Berkshire Local Schools encourages students to participate in the programs offered by the Auburn Career Center since they promote critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and creativity, all components of the District’s Graduate Profile. Congratulations once again, to Peter Brent, for serving as a member to the first place finishing team. Go Badgers!
