Berkshire Student Makayla Hart Earns First Place Honors in Entrepreneurship Program


Berkshire High School student Makayla Hart recently took home first place honors in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Entrepreneurship Development Program, thereby advancing to the National Finals which will take place in California. In winning this most recent competition, Makayla demonstrated the top skills in planning for a small business enterprise using family and consumer science skills. Tasks completed included a written business plan as well as a verbal presentation. The Berkshire Local Schools promotes the various aspects of Project Based Learning inside the school and in outside endeavors as well. Makayla Hart showcased her desire for extra work in the most fundamental areas of problem solving and critical thinking, by participating in this program and competition. The District wishes her well in the National competition and expresses its congratulations for earning a strong first place finish.
