Berkshire Jr. High School Students Compete in First Ever Junior Bots Competition

As a way to blend hands-on critical thinking and problem-solving skills with relevant technology and science lessons, a handful of 7th grade students from Berkshire Junior High School recently competed in the Junior Bots robotics competition this past weekend at Lakeland Community College. Five 7th grade students have been diligently working to prepare for this competition, and include Gabe Hodgson, Mia Pirichy, Sofia Szilagyi, Emily Tessean, and Sarah Wendl. These individuals took their talents to this competition to battle against approximately 32 other schools’ robots in a double elimination tournament. The event was live-streamed on You Tube. Thank you to Miss Kimberly Mele, who has served as the Facilitator for the Junior Bots Team. The District looks forward to continued growth of this valuable student group and future success. Great work to everyone involved!
