Students Collaborate Across Grades & Curriculum to bring Ancient Rome to Life

Students in Mrs. Bartosic’s World Studies and Ms. Hecker’s Exploring Foods classesRome collaborated to re-enact a Roman feast with ancient Roman foods, music, and clothing. Mrs. Bartosic’s seventh graders enjoyed traditional ancient Roman food and drink researched, prepared, and served by Ms. Hecker’s Family and Consumer Science students (grades 9-12) to coincide with the seventh graders' study of Ancient Rome.

The students feasted on three courses which included a libation with “wine” (juice), appetizers, main course, and dessert. The activity was a positive collaborative experience between junior high and high school students that brought ancient times back to life.
