The Berkshire Local Schools will be hosting a series of presentations on the safe and responsible use of social media by writer and internet safety speaker, Jesse Weinberger. Both presentations will take place on Thursday, May 12th, with the first program for 8th grade students occurring during the school day. A separate, follow-up presentation for Berkshire High School and Cardinal High School 8th grade parents/guardians only will take place in the Berkshire High School Cafeteria during the evening on May 12th, with light boxed dinners available at 5:30 PM, followed by the start of the presentation at 6:00 PM. Each parent who wishes to attend must register separately by completing the following online form. Titled, “Everything You Need to Know About Children and Social Media,” the engaging and informative presentation will provide important safety information, real talk about devices and mental health, as well as a discussion on digital versus real life literacy for each child’s future. On behalf of the Berkshire Local Schools, thank you to our 8th grade parents/guardians for your consideration of the above presentation regarding online safety.
