District Partners with PublicSchoolWORKS to Help Students and Families Report Bullying and Student Safety Concerns

Stay Safe, Speak Up!

As part of its continued commitment to preventing bullying and promoting a safe school environment, Berkshire Local Schools has partnered with PublicSchoolWORKS, the leading provider of K-12 school safety and compliance programs, to introduce the “Stay Safe. Speak Up!” safety reporting system. The program gives students, families, and staff multiple ways to report safety concerns 24/7, as well educational resources for staff, students and parents covering a variety of student bullying, safety, and mental health crises.

Concerns can be submitted in three ways:

1.         Mobile App. Download the Stay Safe. Speak Up! mobile app and enter our unique District Code to submit reports directly from your smartphone. District Code: BADGERS

2.         Phone. Call 1-866-547-8362 to leave a voice message or speak with a trained, live attendant. Attendants can initiate contact with various national crisis hotlines if a student needs help in dealing with a personal emergency.

3.         Online. Go to https://www.berkshireschools.org/and click on the Stay Safe. Speak Up! button located under the Quick Links heading to access the online form from a desktop computer or laptop. Information related to the mobile app and telephone hotline can be found on this page also.

When safety or bullying reports are submitted, key administrators are automatically notified via email – or phone in the case of an emergency – to investigate and resolve reports. All reports are stored in one centralized online location so Berkshire Local School District can document and investigate incidents and monitor safety trends.

The Berkshire Local Schools is proud to provide this new online reporting system and partner with the school community to ensure a positive learning environment for every student.
