The ongoing pandemic has generated extraordinary challenges for teachers at all grade levels, especially those starting their education careers. In an article published on the Kent State University website, four recent graduates of the Middle Childhood Education (MCED) program at the Geauga Campus shared their experiences of first-year teaching in learning environments altered by COVID-19. The new middle school teachers praised the mentoring and support of their instructors, including Berkshire Jr./Sr. High School Math Teacher Hank Hoover.
