As students enjoy the remaining days of summer break, the staff of the Berkshire Local Schools have been busy preparing for a successful start to the 2019-2020 school year. Maintenance and custodial staff have worked diligently over the summer months to clean and refresh both the interior and exterior of every school building. Teachers and staff are busy organizing classrooms and planning engaging, project-based learning activities for the coming year. With the start of the new school year less than two weeks away, the Berkshire Schools would like to bring the following upcoming events to the attention of our parents and students.
Wednesday, August 14th: Meet the Badger Night starting at 6:00 PM at Berkshire Jr./Sr. High
Wednesday, August 14th: 7th Grade Orientation at Berkshire Jr./Sr. High. Both parents and students are encouraged to attend according to the following schedule: Last Names A- HE: 9 a.m., Last Names: HI- PRE: 10:30 a.m., Last Names PRO- Z: 12:30 p.m.
Monday, August 19th: Ledgemont Elementary Open House from 5:00 to 6:00 PM
Tuesday, August 20th: Burton Elementary Open House from 5:00 to 6:00 PM
Wednesday, August 21st: First Day of School for Students
Wednesday, August 28th – August 30th: Geauga County Fair Break - No School for Students
Monday, September 2nd: Labor Day – No School for Students
