Community Organizations Promote Student Literacy with Book Donation

Book Donation from local Kiwanis and Grange chapters

Thanks to the generosity of the East Geauga Kiwanis Club and local Grange chapters, all 1st and 4th graders in the Berkshire Local Schools received a free book to read over summer break!  Over two-hundred books were donated and delivered to students at Ledgemont and Burton Elementary Schools on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.  Students were excited to receive the free books which encompassed a variety of fun topics.  This marked the second time both community organizations donated books to the District, as all third-grade students received a free book earlier in the school year.  The Berkshire Local Schools would like to thank the members of the East Geauga Kiwanis Club and local Grange chapters for promoting student literacy and their continued support of the District.
