Berkshire High School Class of 2019 Hosts Annual Commencement

The Berkshire Local Schools hosted its Commencement Ceremony for the approximately 99 members of the Class of 2019 earlier this week, and excitement, enthusiasm and a great sense of anticipation were among the prevailing emotions during the evening’s festivities. The District would like to congratulate this year’s Valedictorians: Emily Dingman, Hannah Keough and Katrina Ostrander. The Class of 2019 Salutatorian is Mason Mulcek. There were 12 members of the Class of 2019 who graduated with Honors Diplomas, which signifies state recognition for exceeding Ohio’s graduation requirements. Students challenge themselves by taking and succeeding at high-level coursework and in real-world experiences to earn an Honors Diploma. In addition, 13 members of the Class of 2019 graduated with an Auburn Honors Certificate or National Technical Honor Society membership as well. The Berkshire High School Class of 2019 Class Officers included Josiah Cheung, President, Robert Czekaj, Vice President, Caitlin Wendl, Secretary, Melanie Rakoczy, Treasurer. Thank you to the speakers who delivered words of encouragement to the Class of 2019, including Superintendent John Stoddard, Board President James Boyd, Board Vice President Bryan Wadsworth and Principal Michael King. On behalf of everyone in the Berkshire Local Schools community, congratulations to the departing Class of 2019 and all the best in your future endeavors.
