From the Desk of Mrs. Ducca, Principal...
Welcome to the 2011 - 2012 school year! It was so exciting to see all of the smiling faces of our wonderful students!
The custodians worked tirelessly to beautify the school grounds both inside and out. The playground containment system is in place and the blacktop by the basketball hoops was replaced which looks wonderful and successfully housed several football games at recess!
The school year began with a bang! While there were a few kinks we needed to work out, the start of the year was successful! Welcome Burton Elementary Kindergarten students! We currently have 60 students enrolled in our kindergarten program. The kindergartners completed screening and phase-in and will attend as a whole group for the first time on Tuesday, September 6. The 1 - 6 graders enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new friends. We welcomed 8 new families to Burton Elementary School this year, please welcome them if you see them at events.
Thank you so much to the Burton Elementary School PTO for a WONDERFUL Back to School Picnic. The picnic was a HUGE success and extremely well attended.
