Walking for a Cause...

United Way of Geauga County and Berkshire Schools partnered to participate in the American Heart Association Walk at Lake Farm Park on June 2nd. Several staff members from our district and some members of the United Way participated as a team in the walk. Thank you to Mrs. Evers (secretary), Miss Ray (teacher) and her fiancé; Eric, Mrs. Ducca (principal), Mrs. Randles (assistant principal), Mr. Symsek (husband of Dr. Symsek; director of special/education/curriculum), and Mrs. Miller (community member) for participating!
The funds collected were donated to the Heart Association. As a team we collected $145 from the district and individually some of the team members collected additional donations ranging from $25 to $100.
Thank you to those that actively participated in the walk and to those that supported the team through their donations! This was a great opportunity to partner with a local agency and to give back to the community!
