School Nurse Update 2-17-12

I still have not heard of a positive influenza lab test in the school population. There has been an small up tick in the number of students out ill since the start of February. Mentioned symptoms are vomiting, diarrhea, fever stuffy head and cough. There have also been cases of strep throat, ear infections, mono and "walking" viral pneumonia. Thank you for keeping students home when they are feeling ill. I also see a lot of great covering of coughs and sneezes using the arm as a catch area. These things really help keep us all well!
