5th Grade DARE Graduation at Burton Elementary

On Wednesday, January 25, 76 5th graders at Burton Elementary graduated from the D.A.R.E. program. Assistant principal Mrs. Randles welcomed parents, relatives, and the students to start the ceremony. Geauga County Deputy Sheriff James Hudson recognized the essay winners, Jacob Smetana, Haley Kumher, and Katrina Ostrander. Each student read their essay during the ceremony. Runner-Up winners were Stormy McClellan, Emily Dingman, Emily Nelson, Brennan Stivers, Lauren Evans, and Sam McClintock. All of the students received certificates of completion.
All of the students are to be congratulated for completing the program.
