Berkshire Students Compete in Power of the Pen

This past snowy Saturday, Berkshire students, Francesca Gallowan, Sammy Hargis, Samantha Kaser, Katie Moses, Breanna Pennypacker,Justin Politzer, Sam Anderson, Florida Domanski, Alyssa Maier, Halla Reed, Rachel Rich and Kieran Wiechert competed at the Power of the Pen district tournament. At the Perry Middle School host site, students wrote creative narratives about prompts like "use a closet as the setting of your narrative" and "write about something that is highly overrated". A special congratulations goes to 8th grader Halla Reed who placed eleventh overall and 7th grader, Katie Moses who placed 8th overall and also won the best-of-round competition. Much thanks goes to the helpful parent support and transportation throughout the day!
