Berkshire Junior wins Rotary 4-Way Speech Contest

Berkshire junior Katie Lasco won the Burton-Middlefield Rotary 4-way speech contest this week. Katie competed against other area students and her speech earned her top honors! Katie's speech centered on encouraging every student to value their education and take an active role in it. Katie explained why we need an education, compared our educational system to those in other countries, and demonstrated the benefits of a quality education not only for the student, but the community and the future as well.
Katie will compete again April 17. We congratulate and wish Katie the best!
