Teacher and Related Service Personnel Get Training on Writing Individual Education Programs (IEP) and Evaluation (MFE) Reports

In our ongoing efforts to remain updated and compliant with the
Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and federal regulations
regarding special education (Individuals with Disabilities
Education Act, IDEA), we had a visiting presenter to provide
training on the use of the IEP and MFE writing programs. Mr. Roy
Gordon (developer of Practical Solutions) provided training and a
question-answer session to the special education and related
service personnel in our district on November 17th.
He provided them with examples of appropriate goal and objective
writing strategies and guided them through the use of the many
functions of the program. The teachers and related service
personnel asked questions and worked on the process as a collective
group. The sessions was productive and applicable to our efforts to
not only be compliant, but to meet the individualized educational
needs of our students.
