Language Arts Course of Study Work Session

Teachers in the Language Arts/English Department at our
junior/senior high school met to continue their work on the
development of courses of study for this department. In addition to
the main course of study for this department, they are also working
on the courses of study for elective courses in the Language
Arts/English Department (e.g., World Mythology, Speech,
Theater).
The teachers are working on aligning the teaching strategies,
instructional materials, and pacing/timelines with the content
standards as part of this process. The completion of the courses of
study will guide the teachers in their instruction to ensure that
students master the designated skills and content at each grade
level as well as across grade levels (K-12).
Thank you to Mrs. Arnold, Mrs. Hunter, Mrs. Hull, Miss Hess, Mrs.
Jaskiewicz, and Miss Ritter for their time and hard work on this
process!
