Letter People Celebration

On Tuesday, May 27th, the kindergarteners from Mrs. Maxwell, Miss Reedy, and Miss Trace's classes all celebrated meeting all the Letter People. The students dressed up as their favorite letter person. Over twenty parents volunteered their time to come man the educational stations. Many more parents sent in items needed for the kindergarten students to have a great Letter Celebration Snack. The stations included: Musical Chairs (gross motor), BeanBag Sounds (gross motor & initial sounds), Exercise With Miss E (gross motor), Pretzel Marshmellow Letters (letter formation), Letter Celebration Snack, Letter Line-Up(initial sounds), My Favorite Letter Person...(writing/illustration station), Letter Person Bingo (letter identification), Big Books (reading), and a Spelling Station (phonics). Following the celebration in the gym, the students proudly paraded through the elementary school and trailers to show off our fabulous costumes! What a great day kindergarten had!
