4th Grade Participates in The Great American Cleanup

Troy Elementary School

May 02, 2008

The Fourth Graders at Troy Elementary volunteered their time for the Great American Cleanup Campaign on May 1st.  They walked the perimeter of the school yard and picked up litter.  We discussed the items found and if they could be recycled.  Troy has a paper recycling bin and some of the items were able to go into the bin.  Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District donated trash bags, and gloves for the students to use for the event.  They also provided seed packets to the students to beautify their neighborhoods, a magnet identifying recycling locations, pencils, and stickers for the students.

The students enjoyed helping the earth and look forward to participating again next year.
