Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District Visits Our Second Graders
On Wednesday of last week Mr. Etling from the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District visited with both second grade classes. He presented a great program on food webs. As part of the program we all got to take part in making a tangle of a food web, which showed us all how interdependent wildlife is. He then shared many of his great critters with us.
We saw different frogs, salamanders, turtles and even a snake! All the animals are native of our area and we got to learn about the habitat threats these animals face. We had a wonderful time learning how we can help maintain natural habitats in our area.
