The students of fashion design I, II, III, and IV have been working very hard all year. On May 15, the students will be putting on the annual fashion show to show off all their creative designs. The show will have a hip-hop theme and be held at 6:30 p.m. in the high school small gym. Refreshments will be provided and the work of the Berkshire Art students will also be on display. In addition to the fashion design classes, the 8th grade and life studies classes will also participate in the show.
The students of the fashion classes have been preparing for the show for some time now. Fashion design IV student, Ann Thompson, said, “This will be my third fashion show.” All year the students have been sewing things to wear in the show, ranging from dresses to pants to sweatshirts. Fashion II student, Alyssa Parnaby, said, “I think my shirt was set out to prove Murphy’s Law.”
Be sure to come to the show to see all the creations of the fashion students. Thompson said, “The fashion show is a way to show off what we made in the semester, and its fun.” Teacher Kelly Timmons agrees, saying, “It’s great when parents and community members are there to celebrate students’ accomplishments.” They have been waiting for this all year, and any support is greatly appreciated.
