3rd Grader Wins Big at Burton Library Chess Tournament

Burton Elementary 3rd grader Jonathan Bumbarger, won 1st place on both Division I and Division II of the Burton Public Library Chess Tournaments. He played against 1st through 5th graders on Feb. 2nd and won and was invited back to play against 6th-8th graders and played 4 perfect games!
He won the first place medal again. It was the first time in the over 20-year history of our Chess Tournaments that the same person has won first place in 2 divisions. AND, he's invited back to play against grades 9-12 this coming Saturday, Feb. 16th. Congratulations Jonathan!
