Super Tuesday

By Max Gilliland

It’s Tuesday, February 5, 2008, also known as Super Tuesday, and there is a dead heat for both parties. With about 1,000 delegates on the line for the GOP and 1,300 for Democrats, this is the biggest primary held.  With all eyes on California, Democrats Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barak Obama are scrambling for as many votes as they can get.  Clinton used to have a strong lead, but Obama is gaining support from working middle class families.  And Republican John McCain is gaining support around the country.  As Super Tuesday comes to an end, the polls close.  Obama and Hillary are still in a dead heat, although Hillary has a few more delegates, and John McCain is the frontrunner among the GOP party. It’s going to be a close race, and political analysts say Ohio will be a key factor in the road to the White House.
