Mrs. Zenz's second grade readers started the day off right. They read a story about a little boy who thought he did not like oatmeal. After his mom encouraged him to try milk, brown sugar, raisins, or applesauce; he realized that it felt good to go to school with something good in his stomach.
The students also read about how oatmeal is good for their hearts. Mrs. Zenz's students thought it was a good idea to try it out so they sampled steamy oatmeal with their favorite toppings. The consensus..."Yummy!"
