Mrs. Maxwell's class was treated to guest readers on January 30th. Our Star of the Week brought his aunt and uncle to class to share! Mr. Tim Misny, an attorney, held the students attention while reading two stories to the class. The first book, Click, Clack, Moo, Cows That Type, was a humorous tale of farm animals who revolt. When they steal the farmer's typewriter and start typing him demands for blankets in exchange for milk and eggs, what is the farmer to do? The students loved finding out how the farmer handles the demands!
Mr. Misny also read Sylvester's Magic Pebble. The students asked many questions as Sylvester finds a magic pebble and learns a lesson about life on the way! The students discovered that sometimes what you have is better than what you wish for!
Mr. and Mrs. Misny were a big hit with Mrs. Maxwell's kindergarten class. It is important for children to have contact with adults other than their teachers and parents, and Mr. and Mrs. Misny provided that contact today in an exciting way!
