School District Income Tax Information

Payroll Deductions Correct?

by Jim Knapp

January 30, 2008

Residents are reminded that if you have the school district income tax withheld from your pay check, that the new rate of 1% on earned income is in effect since January 1. See your company payroll office if you have questions.

Also, a reminder that  income earned and reported on your W-2 for the 2007 calendar year is the 3/4% tax as in previous years and is filed under the same rules in effect in previous years. This April 15th is the last day to file and this is the last year for this type of tax.

Check your school district income tax withholding now, so that you are not surprised in "09.
