Making Safety A Priority At Troy Elementary

Mrs. Pinkava, our district nurse, provided teachers and staff with a CPR and AED training session this week. For many of the participating teachers and staff it was a renewal of the training and certification they had previously received. It served to provide information and practice of recent changes in CPR administration and AED use. This training was initially provided when Mrs. Pinkava was able to obtain an AED machine in our school building through grant funds.
Such trainings are important as they ensure we are current on health and safety procedures in the event they should ever be needed. While we always hope such training is never needed, it is important to be prepared and properly trained if an emergency should arise.
