By
Amy Lasco, Danielle Young, and Sasha Brotman
Books are great for numerous reasons. They are great for educational purposes. Books increase your vocabulary, and they teach many things. Books are also very good for entertainment. Books are easy to carry with you. They are a nice thing to have when you are waiting for something. Books inspire us greatly, so whatever you do, read!
Noses
A poem by Mac Cossick, and Madison Barber
Noses, Noses different kinds,
Remember your nose knows all!
So keep it happy,
Or else you will wake one day to find it gone!!J
The Browns
By Justin Baker
I don’t think the Browns will go to the playoffs. I think they’re going to play better teams and lose right before the play offs. They will get eliminated from the Wild Card and they won’t even get a chance at the playoffs. Other than the Colts, Cowboys, and Patriots there aren’t many teams that the Browns should not be able to beat. You never know what could happen, it’s a game!
Dear Miss Kelly…
Our column gives you a chance to privately express your feelings. Please use a fake name so we can write back to you. Please keep things appropriate for school (no home issues, family related, etc.). For example, if your friends are having a fight, you could ask Miss Kelly for help. We will report back to you in our next newsletter. You can drop your letters anytime in Mrs. Harris’s room. Miss Kelly will read them and try to find a solution to your problems.
AC/DC
By Branson Skidmore, McKinley Parker, and Nick Mala
AC/DC began their career on a New Years Eve at Chequers Club in Australia. Along with Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis Jr., the band was led by their founding brothers, Guitarists: Malcom Young and Angus Young. After Bon Scott’s death (the lead singer of AC/DC) they signed a new lead singer named Brian Johnson. Six months later they made their new album Back in Black. They made their first top forty hit in the UK, and number four in America. September 15, 2000 AC/DC was inducted into the Holly Wood Rock Wall Hall of Fame. They had a rare moment by placing their hands in cement at the Guitar Center on Hollywood Blvd.

Board Game Tournament
By Ian L. McClellan
I think we should add board game tournaments to the possible activities for our school. Those who do not like sports should be able to do something else, and I feel board game tournaments are the answer. Here are my board game suggestions. For the strategist there are games such as Stratego, Chess, Checkers, and Axis & Allies. For the businessman, there are games such as LIFE and Monopoly. There are many other choices as well, but that is all I could think of off the top of my head. Tell me what you think…
Next issue, I will talk about books.
