Sumerians

By Amy Lasco, Danielle Young, and Justin Baker

Sumer was a city-state in 2100 to 2000 B.C.  Ur Nummu was the ruler then.  Sumer had many accomplishments.  They created the first writing system called cuneiform.  They also created class systems, divine kingship, ziggurat, and the wheel.  Some people believed that Gilgamesh lived in the Sumer times.  He was believed to also be a king and a god.  It was said that he searched until the end of the world for immortality.  No one knows, though, whether he lived or not. Sumer was a very accomplished city-state, but it was conquered around 2000 B.C. by invaders from the northeast.

LeBron + Kobe Comparison!

By Stephen Horvath and Sam Kwasniewski

This article is comparing the top all stars in the game.  LeBron may be a great driver but he lacks a jump shot.  Kobe is not the best driver but he has the jumper that will get someone’s attention.  LJ has a slick average of 26.6 points per a game.  Kobe has an average of 30.4 points per a game.  LJ is getting 6.9 rebounds per a game, while KB is averaging 7.6 rebounds per a game.  The king is getting an impressive 7.1 assists per a game, and Kobe only has 5 assists per game because of his astonishing 30 points per a game!  These two players will never get old.

       Chihuahuas

By Madison Barber and Mac Cossick

The Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog in the world!  We both

have a Chihuahua at home.  Mac has a male named Ichiro Suzuki like the baseball player for the Seattle Mariners.  Gi Gi is a female Chihuahua that belongs to Madison.   The appearance of a Chihuahua is quite cute.  Its main colors are fawn, red, cream, chocolate, blue, and black.  It has different patterns like sable, Irish spotting, piebald spotting, extreme white spotting, brindle, masks, merle, and tan points. Some Chihuahuas are long haired and others are short.  The behavior of a Chihuahua varies.  Some Chihuahuas are hyper and active but some are clam.  Gi Gi for instance, can be very hyper but other times really calm.  If you have younger kids at home a Chihuahua may not be a good dog for you because they are easily hurt and easily angered.  Chihuahuas came from the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.  Because of that, you may need to get them clothes for the winter.  They shiver a lot when scared, cold, and sometimes for no reason.  Chihuahuas are picky eaters sometimes.  If they do not eat the food you get them try a new brand.  Chihuahuas are fine boned so be careful with them!  If you have a Chihuahua, or are thinking about getting one, give it lots of love and care!
