Roots and Shoots members met in October to elect officers and brainstorm ideas for this year's community service projects. Katie P. was elected President, Alivia A. and Nate W. were elected Co-Vice Presidents, Megan A. was elected secretary, and RJ M. was elected treasurer. Some ideas that the children came up with for community service included adopting a family for Christmas, a food drive, making blankets or scarves for the needy, making boo-boo bunnies for the Children's Hospital, and caroling at the nursing home.
Our next meeting will be on November 14th, immediately after school
