Hello Burton Campus Families,

WOW! What a fantastic start to the 2007/2008 school year! I am so excited to see everyone back at school! The teachers have worked hard to make their classrooms fabulous and their lesson plans exciting. 

We have spent a great deal of time talking about the Badger 5 Principles - which were explained in the Parent-Student Guideline Booklet.  This is a school wide plan that the staff and I created based on Ron Clark’s book The Essential 55 to promote the 5 major principles for excellence.  The Badger 5 ties into school wide rewards and consequences. Please review them with your child!

Thank you for your support with the PTO Western Reserve Fundraiser.  We use the profits from the fundraiser to drive our PTO costs for the year!

Thank you for your attendance at our Open House! It was so nice to see everyone and have a chance to talk and catch up!

Thank you for a wonderful opening of school and all your support! We appreciate your cooperation with student drop off and pick up!

Notes & News from the Burton Campus…

•    Fall Pictures: Fall Picture Day is Tuesday, September 25^th.  If you are interested in ordering, please complete the order form and send payment in to your child’s teacher by Monday, Sept. 24. Thanks!

•    Fundraiser: Erin Farragher, 2^nd grade Mrs. Park, and her sister Mollie are raising money for a Ride-A-Thon through Fieldstone Farms Riding Stables.  Erin is participating in the Ride-A-Thon.  We are collecting any donations of loose change in every classroom K-6.  We are charting the money collected and the class who raises the most money will receive a pizza party.  We are collecting money until Sept. 25. Thank you for your help!

News from the Burton Campus…

• Class Fees…Please note that all class fees must be paid in full by Friday, September 28.   Just a reminder…you can always set-up a payment plan with the office, just let Mrs. Ambrose know! Thank you!

• Forms…Thank you for returning your emergency medical forms, FERPA forms, Internet Use Policy, Photo Release and Handbook Acknowledgment.  They are vital to the daily operation of the Burton Campus.  If you have not returned these forms, please do so immediately. Thank you!

• Staff Members of the Month…Congratulations to Gina Kriz, Monica Reedy and Audrey Pentek for being Staff Members of the Month! Staff Members of the Month are nominated by the Staff at the Burton Campus!

• Roots and Shoots Meeting…Meeting Wednesday, September 26 from 3:20 – 4:15 in the gymnasium.  You MAY ONLY ATTEND if you returned your permission slip. Thanks!

• Welcome New Burton Campus Staff Members…Miss Rachel Beardsley-Holbert as a part-time Special Education Teacher, Karen Kirby as a 5^th/6^th Class Size Reduction and Ken Landrus as our new custodian. We are happy to have you!
