Elementary students in grades 1-3 were given the opportunity to explore the Spanish-speaking countries from around the world at a Spanish Carnival hosted in the Berkshire High School gym on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Sponsored by High School students taking traditional and AP Spanish courses, the event was the culmination of a group project that required students to research a specific Spanish speaking country and create an interactive display that shared the country’s history, geography and culture. Each group’s display also included a fun, related game or activity. During their tour around the world, elementary students received a stamp in their passport book and enjoyed candy and other prizes as they learned about each country. The Berkshire Schools would like to recognize all participating High School students for a job well done and for providing our 1st-3rd graders an unforgettable learning experience!
