Class of 2022 Tours Washington D.C.

DC

OHIOThrough blistering heat, multiple bus issues, and the daunting crowds, Berkshire's eighth graders prevailed as they toured our nation's capital on a 3-day trip to Washington DC on May 2-4.  Seventy-one eighth graders and their seven chaperones were able to visit such sites as The Capitol Building, Arlington National Cemetary, the World War II Memorial, The African American Museum, The Natural History Museum, The U.S. Holocaust Museum, The Supreme Court, The American History Museum, The Washington Monument, The Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, The 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, The Library of Congress, The Iwo Jima Memorial, and much more.

Despite the temperatures reaching near record highs in the 90s, students walked DC DC, toured these amazing sites, learned a lot and bonded with their classmates. Here's to another successful 8th grade trip and special thanks to coordinator Rich Guthrie for his time and effort in organizing all the details of the trip and to the six other chaperones who traveled along to help things run smoothly.
