Dear Burton Elementary Families,

We are excited to begin our new 2016-2017 school year! We will be starting school on Tuesday, August 23rd ! I hope that you had a great summer and enjoyed time with your families and friends! It was such a nice sunny summer! I hope you took advantage of the sun and warm weather! We have an exciting year planned and the building is completing the finishing touches for the kids. As always, we are energized and excited to see you and your kids. Just a few reminders and items that will help give you information and any changes that may occur this year. Enjoy the rest of your summer and see you all soon….

ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:

8:35 am- Doors open for students

8:45 am- Tardy Bell Rings  

(Students must be  in the building by the time the bell rings to not be marked tardy. For the safety and security of your child, we begin taking classroom attendance as soon as the bell rings. Thank you! ? )

 

DISMISSAL SCHEDULE:

3:15 pm- Pick-ups, walkers, day care students are dismissed from classrooms

3:20 pm- Bus Riders are called over the PA system to the 4/5/6 Gym

 

THURSDAY DISMISSAL SCHEDULE: (EVERY THURSDAY starting August 25th -end of the year)

2:30 pm- Pick-ups, walkers are dismissed from the classrooms

2:35 pm- Bus Riders are called to the 4/5/6 Gym

 

Burton Elementary School will continue to follow the same Professional Learning Community schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.  We will continue to hold weekly early dismissals every Thursday at 2:30 p.m. beginning August 25th throughout the school year.  Please note that bus routes will pick up students from Burton Elementary School every Thursday at 2:30 p.m.  If you are picking up your child in the gym, please arrive by 2:30 p.m.

 

We will attend school on August 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 29th, 30th. We will then be on break for Wednesday, August 31st, September 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and Monday (Labor Day) September 5th. School will then resume on September 6th!

 

CLASS FEES FOR THE 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR:

Please make sure payment is sent to the office by September 30, 2016 checks can be made payable to Berkshire Board of Education. Fees can also be paid through the Infinite Campus Portal.

 THURSDAY PURPLE FOLDERS:

All important district/building information goes home in the purple folder on Thursdays. Please look for the folders every Thursday for information and the Badger Gazette! It can also be found on our website www.berkshireschools.org

 

HANDBOOK:

Please take the time to read through and review the Burton Elementary Handbook and discipline plan with you child. We have made changes and updates and want to ensure you are aware of all the policies and procedures! Please sign and return the Parent/Student acknowledgement form on the last page of the handbook. Thank you!
