Burton Elementary School Field Trips To Cleveland Initiative

The Burton Elementary PTO has introduced a new initiative called “B.E. to CLE”.  The primary goal of this program is to provide each of our grade levels with a field trip to a different educational opportunity in the city of Cleveland. Some examples include Severance Hall, to hear the Cleveland Orchestra, The Great Lakes Science Center, and Playhouse Square to name a few.  We believe that this is an amazing opportunity for students, especially those who have not experienced this aspect of Cleveland before.

We would like each grade level to have a designated yearly destination, so that by the time the current kindergarteners leave Burton Elementary School, they will have visited 7 different venues in the city of Cleveland! What an amazing opportunity for our students!

The PTO plans to help with this program by providing funding for the transportation expenses associated with the field trips, which is $700 per grade level. Fortunately, The PTO has recently become a 501c3 organization, which means we can accept donations that are tax deductible to the donor!

For those making a donation of $200 or more, we will list your name, or the name of your business on the back of our fun day T-shirts at the end of the school  year in recognition of your support. If you, or someone you know is interested in supporting a particular grade level, or just would like to make a donation, please contact the school office by calling 440.834-3380 x 1101 or by emailing us at info@burtonpto.com.
